David Gelb (Jiro Dreams of Sushi) turns his attention to another old, revered, and long-standing institution: the Mustang, Ford's crown jewel. Only this institution is in a state of disarray. Ford launches a redesign as the Mustang's fiftieth anniversary approaches and the automotive industry struggles through the depths of the financial crisis. Now, Dave Pericak's job security at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, the expectations of thousands of Mustang devotees, and the city of Detroit's economic viability are all heavily on his shoulders.
