A Kiss Before Dying
Jonathan Corliss, a college student, is obsessed with the concept of getting rich, so he begins an affair with Dorothy Carlsson behind her father's back in order to win his approval. Jonathan kills Dorothy after she reveals to him that she is expecting a child and that if her father finds out, he will refuse to give her any of his inheritance. However, he makes it appear as though she took her own life by staging her death. Ellen, Dorothy's twin sister, is the one who is conducting the investigation into what appears to be a suicide. Jonathan is working his way onto Mr. Carlsson's payroll at the same time.
