Theseus, the cruel ruler of Athens, wants to marry Hippolyta, a prisoner of war, and Hermia, the daughter of his own son, is sentenced to death by her own father, who wants her to marry Hippolyta and marry her. Amateur theater group "Mechanicals" rehearses in the town below. They have a lot of fun with their rivalry. The dark forces are stirring outside of Athens in the woods, and they're getting ready to fight.
