An Affair to Remember
Nickie Ferrante's return to New York to marry a wealthy heiress has received much attention, as have his numerous antics and affairs. He meets Terry McKay, a nightclub singer on her way home to her longtime boyfriend. She sees him as just another playboy, and he sees her as cold, but after a few days, they realize they've fallen in love. Nickie has never worked in his life, so they agree to meet again in six months at the Empire State Building. This will give them time to deal with their current relationships and for Nickie to determine whether or not he can actually earn a living. He returns to painting and has some success. On the agreed-upon date, Nickie patiently awaits Terry, who is racing to join him. However, fate intervenes, causing misunderstanding and heartbreak, and only fate can save their relationship.
