Mary Jane, a young biologist specializing in lepidopterology (the study of moths and butterflies), does not have the ideal life; yet, she does have what she perceives to be the ideal kid. Tragic events occur, and Mary Jane's world is flipped upside down. She starts on a solo bush project to escape the problematic "real world." Mary Jane begins to notice weird occurrences in the secluded and surreal surroundings. The chance to be a mother once more offers itself, but at a cost to Mary Jane and the remnants of her family.
