Beyond the Wasteland, filmed in Australia, the United States, Italy, France, Germany, and Japan, follows fans from around the world who go to remarkable lengths in the cause of Mad Max. Exploring the bizarre world of the fans, their costumes, and their machines as they find their place in the Mad Max community, we are transported into the world of Mad Max. The documentary also follows original cast member Bertrand Cadart as he journeys from his home on the Sunshine Coast to the "Wasteland," the desert site of Mad Max 2 in Silverton, for the final time. Beyond the Wasteland praises not only life but also the capacity to alter oneself through enthusiasm.
