The CIA is looking for the person in charge of a string of terrorist attacks. Roger Ferris is the agency's man on the ground. He moves from place to place and works hard to keep up with events that are always changing. A satellite link acts as an eye in the sky to keep an eye on Ferris. Ed Hoffman, who works for the CIA, is on the other end of that real-time link, planning events from thousands of miles away. And as Ferris gets closer to the goal, he learns that trust is both necessary for survival and dangerous.
