Casshern
Planet Earth has been ravaged by the fifty-year battle between the Great Eastern Federation and Europa, which is now known as Eurasia. As a result of the deployment of biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons, a large portion of the planet has become uninhabitable and new diseases have emerged. Professor Azuma's "neo-cell" project, which is supposed to be the solution to mankind's problems, turns a nightmare when mutants created by the experiment escape and vow war on humanity. Tetsuya, the son of Azuma who was killed in the previous conflict, is reincarnated as the cyborg Casshern as humanity's last hope against the new mutant menace. This live-action science fiction film is based on a 1973 Japanese anime with the same name.
