The story begins with a Girl from Chandigarh who travels to Amritsar with the goal of turning down a potential groom, but instead ends up spending the day with a Boy from Amritsar. Despite the fact that she finds his never-ending speech annoying, the two of them have an intriguing relationship. Their cities, their views and philosophies, and practically everything else they discuss bring them into conflict with one another. They end up spending the day together despite the fact that there were other possible outcomes in which both parties could have gone their own ways, such as between bouts of cultural bashing. She comes to the conclusion that she cannot go back without first meeting the potential bridegroom, and she gives the Boy a note to give to him. Will the Boy and Girl go their separate ways with only the recollections of this day between them, or will they run into one other again?
