Following the cassette recordings of Christiane F., this film depicts the drug scene in Berlin during the 1970s. A typical multi-story apartment building in Berlin is home to Christiane, who is 14 years old and lives with her mother and younger sister. She is entranced by the 'Sound,' a new disco with the most up-to-date technology. A friend offers to take her even though she is legally too young. While there, she meets Detlef, who seems to be part of an underground drug culture. She is being lured deeper and deeper into the scenario.
