Conviction
Betty Anne Waters, a Massachusetts wife and mother of two, devotes her life to overturning her older brother Kenny's murder conviction when he is arrested and sentenced to life in prison in 1983. Betty Anne, convinced that her brother is innocent, works her way through high school, college, and finally law school in an 18-year quest to free Kenny. Betty Anne combs through suspicious evidence mounted by small town cop Nancy Taylor, meticulously retracing the steps that led to Kenny's arrest, with the help of best friend Abra Rice. Betty Anne and her team are driven to uncover the facts and use DNA evidence in the hopes of exonerating Kenny because she believes in him.
