Vincent is crazy about Roseanne at school, where they both go. At night, she deals with a troubled family life: her mother, Maggie, cheats on her drunken husband, Fred. When Fred finds out that Maggie has been cheating on him, he is very mean to his stepdaughter Roseanne. Maggie plans her revenge with the help of her boyfriend Jimmy, but Vincent might be the one to help her start over in this modern fable that is loosely based on Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment."
