2021-Five years after an unknown virus transformed humanity into vicious, undead animals, a large portion of the world's population has been decimated. When governments were unable to contain the plague, the Contagion Special Unit was founded with the fiercest soldiers and most specialized professionals to combat the sick. Due to the rapidly dwindling number of soldiers, the popular online video game Dead Trigger was created to reflect the frightening events. Players' best efforts are watched by the CSU, which hires the best zombie killers. As soon as they join the army, the young people are called "Dead Triggers." The film follows a group of young recruits as they trek to the outbreak's origins in quest of a lost team of scientists hunting for a cure.
