On the same day Abbey is diagnosed with ovarian cancer cells, she and her girlfriend, Miranda, are invited to supper by Miranda's previous self-help group to celebrate the return of their estranged buddy, Scott, that left to find the origins of their practices. Throughout the evening, Abbey recognizes that all is not as it appears, that nobody is as who they have actually depicted themselves to be, and that Scott as well as the others have their very own scary methods through which they intend to recover her cancer-wracked body.
