On missions from God, Kyle (Markiss McFadden), one of the many orphans raised by Father Antonio (Paul Sorvino) in the orphanage, kills people. Father Antonio indoctrinated these lads into believing they were doing it in God's name for years. Among Father Antonio's henchmen, Kyle was a master of the hangman's trade. Before the bombing goes off, little Matthew (Aiden Wind) and his mother stroll into a nearby coffee shop, where the bomb has been planted to kill the owner. Kyle made the decision to save them both, but he was only successful in saving the young child. Kyle takes him in and hides him for seven days, even though he doesn't want to. Kyle discovers a new side to himself through a complicated relationship. It's going to be a lot more difficult than he expected to keep Matthew out of harm's way. But it's doable, thanks to Kyle's lovely next-door friend Tara (Mischa Barton).
