False Witness
Mia is so determined that despite the fact that her friends have abandoned her, the police have harassed her, and the medical community has written her off, she has forced herself to participate in a residential alternative therapy training. The training is led by Franklin Spitz, a British celebrity therapist who specializes in resolving the causes of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He questions Mia using progressively offensive psychological methods in order to unearth the repressed memories that are the root cause of her disorder. However, Mia, the client, is looking for reality, while Franklin, the therapist, is doing everything he can to avoid facing it. These two people have very different objectives.
