"FLOWERS" tells the stories of six women whose lives span three generations, from the 1920s to the 1980s (from the Show period all the way through to the present day). Rin (Yu Aoi) is concerned about her parents' planned marriage in the 1930s, which begins in this episode. Rena Tanaka and Yuko Takeuchi star as Rin's three daughters: Kaoru (who sadly loses her spouse in a car accident) and Midori (who is shaken by a marriage proposal) and Sato (who plays Rin's youngest daughter) (Yukie Nakama). Sato gives birth to Kanna (Kyoka Suzuki) and Kei in the 1960s (Ryoko Hirosue). Can Kanna cope with being a single mother in the here and now? It's a beautiful and graceful depiction of these women's lives.
