Frost/Nixon
After being removed from office under duress, Richard Nixon remained silent for the next three years. However, during the summer of 1977, the shrewd and steely former commander-in-chief consented to participate in a single comprehensive interview in order to answer questions regarding his time in office as well as the Watergate crisis, which led to the end of his administration. Nixon's selection of Frost as his television confessor came as a complete surprise to everyone. Nixon had the intention of effortlessly outfoxing the carefree British showman and securing a position in the hearts and minds of Americans by doing so. In a similar vein, Frost's team had its fair share of concerns regarding their boss's ability to hold his own. But as the cameras rolled, an intense war of wits broke out between the two of them.
