Gideon's Day
Scotland Yard Assessor George Gideon starts his day of rest on the incorrect foot when he gets a traffic-violation ticket from a young police officer. From there, his 'common day" consists in finding out that of his most-trusted investigators has approved allurements; pursues an escaped lunatic that has actually murdered a girl; tracks a girl suspected of involvement in a pay-roll break-in and then assists break up a financial institution burglary.
