Gogol. Viy
A mysterious Dark Horseman has already slaughtered 11 young girls in Dikanka. Nikolai Gogol, a scribe from Saint Petersburg, must lead the investigation, but he is plagued by fits that cause grotesque visions. Liza is the next victim and he doubts he can protect her and stop the murderer. Luckily, he encounters Khoma Brut, the witch hunter, martial artist, and philosopher. Together they spend three dreadful nights in an old chapel reading the funeral service for Ulyana, the witch, and calling upon the ghastly evil spirit Viy.
