Award-winning Australian director Ivan Sen's (Mystery Road) latest film, GOLDSTONE, is a complex and stylish crime thriller that looks at racism, human trafficking, police corruption, corporate wrongdoing, and the violation of indigenous people's rights. Indigenous detective Jay Swan (Aaron Pedersen, Mystery Road) is looking for a missing person when he ends up in the small mining town of Goldstone, where local cop Josh (Alex Russell, CBS's "S.W.A.T.") arrests him for drunk driving. When shots are fired into Jay's motel room, it's clear that something bigger is going on. As Jay and Josh try to get over their mutual dislike, they find a web of crime and corruption that leads directly to the town's cold-blooded mayor (Jacki Weaver, who has been nominated for two Oscars) and its smarmy gold mine director (David Wenham, Lord of the Rings).
