Something bad has come to the shores of Erin Island, but no one in this quiet fishing village off the coast of Ireland knows what it is. First, some fisherman go missing. Then there is the sudden increase in the number of whale bodies washing up on the beach. When people start getting killed, it's up to a careless alcoholic cop and his new partner, a rule-following woman from the mainland, to protect the townspeople from giant, bloodsucking aliens with tentacles that hunt them. They find that alcohol is their only weapon. Everyone will have to get very, very drunk if they want to survive the creatures' attack.
