This 11-day comedy film was shot at a winery with Marlborough's renowned grapevines as the main attraction. Harry (Hayden J. Weal from Chronesthesia), a young man in his twenties, is dumped by his fiancee days before their wedding at a vineyard. In an effort to cheer him up, two of Harry's buddies make sure the wine is not wasted. Casey Zilbert wrote and directed the film, which was inspired by Ernest Hemingway's classic novel Fiesta (also known as The Sun Also Rises) about inebriated expats in Europe. Hang Time is Zilbert's first film; throughout her time at university, she studied Fiesta and wine science.
