How to Say Goodbye
Tom is a bond broker who has fallen on hard times and is battling to keep his business viable. The business was left to Tom by his brother, who perished away on September 11th. After experiencing a loss of her own on a personal level, Claire, a burgeoning actress from a rural area, is starting afresh. As their paths begin to meet, Tom will need to decide whether he will let go of his anxieties and admit to having deeper feelings for Claire, or whether he will retreat to his safe space. Simone, Tom's best friend, is struggling with her identity and has a strong need to experience instant pleasure. Mario, Tom's right hand guy who also enjoys alcohol, has to deal with the responsibilities that come with being Tom's womanizer friend. In the chaotic environment of New York City, the four friends strive to let go of outdated practices in order to pave the way for a brighter future.
