On June 7, 2014, forty-five cyclists from all over the world embarked on the inaugural Trans Am Bike Race, which followed the historic TransAmerica Trail across the United States and Canada. A transcontinental expedition of epic proportions, they aim to complete 4,233 miles in a single massive stage race, passing through ten states. Cycling 300 miles a day with only a few hours of sleep is something these bikers find out firsthand in Inspired To Ride, a documentary that tracks their preparation, competition, and post-race experiences. They will rely exclusively on their physical fitness, well selected equipment, and mental fortitude to see them through to the finish line. Furthermore, they'll do it all on their own, with no crew, no support vehicles, and a lack of prize money at the finish.
