Isoroku Yamamoto, the Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet
Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto (1884-1943) was the Japanese Naval commander that was provided the order to attack Pearl Harbour, an order he was duty bound to comply with which broke his own individual ideas. While this infamous assault is a low point in Japanese and also US background it would not have actually taken place if the Japanese federal government had listened to Yamamoto in 1939 and looked for a more peaceful method to finish their war campaign, showing his lots of threatening presages of the results of the attack to come true.
