Sonja, a 13-year-old girl with a big heart, arrives in a little community with a gang of outlaws. The village, however, is cursed. Goldhair, the King's only daughter, went missing while looking for the Christmas Star a long time ago. The Queen died of heartbreak, leaving the King alone. The King cursed the Christmas Star from that day forward, bringing gloom and sadness to the nation. Goldhair is still alive, according to an old sage, and will only return if the King can find the route back to the Christmas Star. Every Christmas since then, the King has been hunting for the Christmas Star in vain.
