Tallie Medel and Betsy Holt play Maya and Jules, who have been together and broken up many times. After a night of backwoods raving and teen mischief, they wreck their car. In the movie, Freddy, a divorced oil worker, saves them from the wreckage. His stoic facade breaks down when he sees himself in Maya. As Jules gets better, Maya and Freddy form a friendship that makes their small-town lives less suffocating by making them talk. Together, they give each other a little push to go for what they want the most (or at least figure out what that might be).
