Knucklehead
When his brother goes away, Langston Bellows (Gbenga Akinnagbe) is left alone in Brooklyn's housing projects. His mother, Alfre Woodard, is now in charge of Langston's future. Langston must take charge of his own future now. His first goal is to find the doctor who can help him, a celebrity magazine columnist who talks about questionable prescription drug cocktails in his column. It would be great if Langston could become "mentally excellent," but that would mean moving into his own apartment with his girlfriend, who may be a dream come true for him too. Pharmaceutical marketing is a dirty world, and the search for his doctor and hero leads to some unpleasant surprises. It's hard for Langston to break away from the past. He wants to be free from his mother and his neighborhood, but people aren't who they appear to be.
