Seven years after the supposed death of Chen Zhen, who was shot when he found out who killed his teacher, Huo Yuanjia, in Japanese-occupied Shanghai. A mysterious stranger from overseas makes friends with a local mafia boss. Chen Zhen is hiding as that man, who wants to join the mob when they join forces with the Japanese.
