This movie is about a once-successful photographer named Alfred Chamberlain who has lost his job because he started to cut people out of his pictures. Elliot Gould plays him. Another thing he can't feel or be passionate about is anything. That is, until Alfred meets Patsy Newqvist. Patsy takes it upon herself to make Alfred into "a strong, vital, self-assured man, that I can protect and take care of," as she says.
