Mektoub, My Love
Amin, a Paris-based wannabe screenwriter, spends the summer in a fishing village in the south of France. It is an opportunity for him to reconnect with his family and childhood pals. Together with his cousin Tony and best friend Ophélie, he spends his time between his parents' Tunisian restaurant, local bars, and beaches favored by vacationing women. Enchanted by the numerous female characters that surround him, Amin remains in awe of these summer sirens while his dionysian cousin revels in their sensual pleasures. Amin pursues his intellectual search while gathering ideas for his screenplays, armed with a camera and guided by the beautiful, shimmering light of the Mediterranean coastline. When it comes to love, only Mektoub (Arabic for "fate") has the final say.
