The psychiatrist Dr. Wayne is dubious about this concept, but he decides to depart for the night nonetheless. The scene shifts to a local theater five years later, when a midnight showing of the horror film The Dark Beneath is taking place. This is the first time the film has been screened in theaters since the killings.
