Year 2038: The earth's material resources have been depleted; in space, battles rage for the last deposits on other planets and satellites. This is the state of affairs after one of the larger mining businesses has lost all but one mineral moon and many of its fully automated mining robots have vanished on their way home. They assign prisoners to defend the mining station because no one else wants the task. Among them is undercover agent Stone, whose mission is to ascertain the whereabouts of the costly robots. He maneuvers between the fronts of rivaling factions in a climate of corruption, fear, and hatred.
