Juan de los Santos, a former Paraguayan undercover detective who was once on the verge of busting Latin America's most powerful drug cartel, has lost everything, including his wife and children, who were brutally murdered on a cold, dark night, and with them, his will to live. Juan didn't get it out of that frigid night unhurt; he was hit by two bullets, one of which is still lodged in his heart and the other of which has damaged a part of his brain, causing him occasional amnesia. Juan must overcome great hurdles to save innocent people in an internal and exterior battle with his own demons. He is eager to take any work to relieve his misery, since he is sleepless and plagued by terrifying nightmares from that night.
