Monsieur Cinema, a century old man, lives alone in a large villa. Because his memories are fading, he hires a young woman to tell him stories about every movie ever made. A slew of movie stars pay him visits, restoring his sense of well-being - but among them are some young students who are only interested in his money in order to fund their film projects. The two stories - Monsieur Cinema's and the lives of the young people - are told in parallel until the old man appears in the students' film at the end.
