Polycarp
Anna, a young slave girl, is saved and adopted by Christians in 2nd Century Smyrna, and befriended by Polycarp, their elderly bishop. Anna struggles to reconcile her views with those of the Christians as she learns from Polycarp and her new family. When the Roman proconsul insists that all people worship Caesar in order to demonstrate their devotion to Rome, Polycarp and the Christians must summon the resolve to defend their religion in the face of rising persecution. Anna is forced to confront the truth and decide for whom she is willing to live and die.
