Rising Sun
John Conner and Web Smith investigate the death of a prostitute in a Los Angeles tower occupied by a Japanese company. Although Conner has worked in Japan before, cultural difficulties slow their progress until a security disc shows the murder. Close inspection reveals the disc was doctored, and the police suspect a cover-up.
