Robot & Frank
A charming emotional comedy, a buddy film, and, just for good measure, a heist film. Old and grouchy Frank lives alone. His daily schedule includes trips to the library, where he has a fondness for the librarian. His adult children purchase a caregiver robot for him out of concern for his well-being. Frank first resisted the notion, but he later came to enjoy the benefits of robotic care, such as nutritious meals and a clean home, and began to view his robot as a true buddy. Frank's previous illegal profession is reignited with the assistance of his robot, for better or for worse.
