There has been a long-running feud between two families in Verona, Italy: the Montagues and the Capulets. People from both families have been fighting in the streets. It's one night and Romeo is in love with a young woman named Rosaline, so he breaks into a party that the Capulets are having. He wants to meet her, but she doesn't want to see him. It makes his thoughts of her fade away when he sees Julie, the daughter of the head of the Capulet household, though Her father already has other plans for her.
