Run Boy Run is based on the true story of Jurek, an eight-year-old Warsaw ghetto escapee who survives in the woods and as a farmhand disguised as a Polish orphan. The individuals he meets will either betray him for a reward, beat him up or try to kill him. An accident cripples Jurek, making it difficult for him to find work. Despite the odds, he perseveres. When the Russians arrive, Jurek finds a place to stay with a family. But he is misled again, and a young Jew from an orphanage tries to convert Jurek.
