Selena
Born in Texas to an ethnically mixed Mexican-American family, this biographical drama depicts the life of Selena Quintanilla as she grows up. Abraham, her father, sees his little daughter's aptitude and begins performing with her in modest settings with the help of his young daughter. She achieves fame and fortune, but her father is furious when she falls in love with Chris Perez, her guitarist. Selena began recording an English-language album, which tragically she would never finish, in her quest for popular stardom.
