During a book sale, one of Jabez's friends, Julius Jenson, sells his book for US$ 190,000.00 to an editor. Jabez is jealous and vows to sell his soul to the devil for success. He accidentally kills a woman with his computer. The Devil knocks on his door, fixes the situation, and agrees to a deal with Jabez when he does. His low-quality novels get bad reviews, but they sell well. Jabez makes money, but he doesn't have time for his friends. It's Daniel Webster's job to publish books. He meets with Jabez and gives him a chance to break the contract with the devil.
