Spetters
Three young men who compete in amateur dirt-bike motorcycle racing are the subjects of a Dutch film released shortly after Saturday Night Fever. Every one of them falls in love with a young woman who, along with her brother, works as a concession stand vendor at the horse racing track. Everyone yearns for a better way of life. She aspires to be free of the family business and away from her brother's influence. The motocross racers aspire to be as successful as their hero, played by Rutger Hauer, by becoming professional racers themselves.
