After a night of heavy drinking, Jeanne and Deb decide to take an empty route through the backwoods in order to avoid traffic. While driving down this road, they come into a mysterious woman who immediately disappears into a nearby field. Because they are plagued with guilt and are unable to go to the police, the girls decide to investigate on their own with the assistance of some friends. Jeanne is dragged into a weird battle with the undead and a dark voodoo priest with deadly motives as their peers begin to die or vanish unexpectedly.
