Suburban Birds
It has been determined that there has been ground subsidence in a suburban area, and a group of engineers, including Hao, have been deployed to explore the origin of the problem. Hao has spent the previous days carrying his heavy equipment and wandering around in the empty suburb looking for answers. Eventually, he makes his way into a primary school, where he discovers a diary chronicling the story of a boy and the dissolution of what appears to be a close-knit group of friends. Hao makes the startling discovery that the diary he is looking through may include prophecies about his own life as the research continues.
