Summer Wars
Kenji exemplifies the archetype of the awkward adolescent. He is skilled in mathematics but awkward around women, and he spends the most of his time participating in activities within the all-knowing online community known as OZ. His second life is the only one he has, up to the point where the girl of his dreams, Natsuki, kidnaps him and forces him to play the role of a fake fiancé during her family reunion. After that, things are only going to get stranger. An email sent late at night that contains a mathematical puzzle in code triggers the release of a malicious artificial intelligence that is intent on destroying both the actual world and the virtual realm of OZ. In this "near-perfect blend of social satire and science fiction," Kenji and his new "family" put aside their differences and band together to save the planets that they inhabit as Armageddon looms on the horizon.
