Swallow
Hunter (Haley Bennett) seemed to have it all. She appears content to spend her time tending to a beautiful home and doting on her Ken-doll husband, Richie, as a newly pregnant housewife (Austin Stowell). However, as the strain grows to match her domineering in-laws' and husband's stringent standards, cracks develop in her carefully crafted veneer. Hunter develops a dangerous habit, and a dark secret from her history emerges in the form of pica, a disorder in which she compulsively swallows inedible, and frequently life-threatening, objects. SWALLOW is a tense and unsettling psychological thriller that chronicles one woman's breakdown as she tries to restore her independence in the face of an oppressive society by any means available.
