Doctor Gulliver is impoverished, and nothing - not even his lovely fiancée Elisabeth - can keep him in the village where he resides. He boards a ship bound for India, but is washed ashore during a storm and ends up on an island inhabited by extremely little people. After convincing them that he is harmless and has been welcomed as a citizen, their king wishes to employ him in a fight against a nation of giants. Even Gulliver is a gnome in comparison to them.
