Two unknown women live across the hall on the second story of an ancient apartment building on the wrong side of the tracks. Galia is an assassin who is forced to work for the local sex-trafficking gang. Her only desire is to reconcile with her young daughter, whom she left behind in Russia. Eleanor works as a cashier at a supermarket and is an abused wife. She fantasizes about winning the lotto and escaping her controlling spouse. Galia and Eleanor are strangers, but they share two things as neighbors: an adjoining wall and a strong desire to organize their escape. Galia disobeys her last contract, which makes her a woman target, and Eleanor learns she's pregnant, the two women vow to battle their oppressors in a fight for survival and freedom.
